Custom applications for operations, not slide decks

How custom applications replace registers and inboxes, with Mangalnath.org and North Star Consultings as production examples.

01

Operations software has a Tuesday test

If the people who run the day cannot finish their queue in the new system, the application failed, regardless of the launch post. Custom applications for operations are built from that queue: the exceptions, the approval, the payment that must match a slot or a session.

Vedora Labs starts there. The public site is a consequence of the system, not the other way around.

02

Two public operations

Mangalnath.org replaced manual registers for a temple trust. Devotees book, pay, and arrive against a slot. Staff see the day in an admin dashboard. The experience is bilingual because the audience is.

North Star Consultings moved consultations out of scattered messages. A seeker generates a kundali, books, and pays. The chart engine belongs to the practice. Both are custom applications. Neither is a theme.

03

Where AI fits an operation

Add an agent when the repetitive judgment is well described and a person can still approve the outcome. Complytics does this for GST reconciliation. An operations app without that clarity should ship the workflow first. Intelligence on top of an undefined process does not become intelligence.

If this is the shape of your work, the custom applications page is the place to start, and the contact form is the place to send the Tuesday queue.

Questions

Can you build the public site and the admin together?
Yes. That is the default for an operational product. One system, two faces: the person being served and the person doing the serving.
